SHOWING a Indian Hunting Knife, Blade Type 19th-century American Pioneer
This Large Hunting knife is 12-3/8” overall with a 7-1/2” blade .121 thick and a convex cutting edge just under 6.5” Widest point of the blade it is a massive 2.25 and weighing in at just under 12.6 ounces. Well designed heavy brass guard on a full tang construction. With plastic inlays and nicely pinned slim hardwood scales make up for a good grip on this knife. Knife was found at a roadside sale while traveling through New Mexico.
Please see all (9) photos above and our text description to help with your judgment on buying of this item.
This smaller version of the original Bowie is more of a working (camp) knife, but with its blade design, can double for self defense if need be. When holding the knife it is like the blade projects from the center of your arm. It has the Bowie feel, light and fast in the hand, more like a short sword. It does have its minor battle scars, but this knife is none the less a good one to have! Defiantly not a store bought knife, but handmade by someone who knows the cutting tool! Be a great project knife to customize.
We are sellers who offer a variety of new, used, refurbished and collectible merchandise. See our listing and all photos for full details and description of any imperfections.
